Everyone thinks about getting a new wardrobe from time to time. The question is what do we want to buy, and where to get it. I know that when I see something fabulous, many times I think I must have that today! It is much better to give it some thought before you start making purchases. What really inspires me when making choices about my clothes and accessories? I hate to admit it, but the media has a lot to do with prompting me to head out and buy some new things.
Since we can’t all afford a personal shopping service, we think of inventive ways to give us helpful hints to build our wardrobe. Magazine’s are marvellous and can give ideas we might never think of. Of course we all have a budget to live on. Check out the magazines, and almost every week you will see a helpful article on building your wardrobe, using some pieces that you already have.
Many times the stars of Hollywood are there with very colourful pictures and fresh ideas that you can use to incorporate in the work place. Usually, you will find personality comparisons that will help you reinvent and inspire you to try new things, colours, and even trendy accessories.
Since the age of technology, you are able to go online and find any design and fashion that you desire. The u-tube information is very helpful. There is so much knowledge and information that will walk you through the halls of fashion. It is true that many ideas come from outside of ourselves, but you really need to look deep within yourself, and ask the question, what is it that I wear that makes me feel fulfilled? I venture to say that real inspiration will come from your ideas and you can build on them.
It may sound old-fashioned, but good old window shopping is a treat. There is nothing like looking at the displays and combinations of fashion, and realizing that with a little imagination you can make that happen in your closet. There is an old saying, “out with the old and in with the new.” This may be the first step to capturing the inspiring new ideas to make your new wardrobe a reality.
